New Blockchain Course Launching at Purdue
Boiler Blockchain formed at Purdue University to serve as an innovation hub for blockchain, cryptocurrency, and computing technology. The idea was simple: Provide students with the knowledge and experiences they need to build careers in the computing industry.
Today, we are thrilled to announce the next step in the mission to build a blockchain talent pipeline at Purdue. The university officially began offering two blockchain certificates that will enhance career opportunities for students interested in the field.
The first certificate — Introduction to Blockchain — will provide students with a general overview of blockchain technologies, from the basics of bitcoin to the development of decentralized finance (DeFi) and non-fungible tokens (NFTs). No previous blockchain experience is required.
The second certificate — Principles and Practices of Blockchain — targets students interested in software development. Students will learn the foundations of blockchain programming and build their own decentralized applications (dApps).
No matter which route you choose, the course material is only part of the story. Students will benefit from dedicated mentorship and career connections tailored to their unique needs. After all, what good is course material if you never get a chance to apply it?
Students interested in learning more can attend an information session on campus in Wang Hall, Room 2579. The following dates and times are available:
· Tuesday, January 12 at 6 pm
